
Barbara Stöttinger is associate professor of the International Marketing Department at the WU Wien since January 2003. She received her Master of Business Administration with concentration in international business and marketing from the WU Wien in 1989 and her Ph.D. in 1993.
Her industrial experience is based on working as product group manager for AKG Acoustics, a company with an export ratio of over 70%, and on many consulting assignments with banks, as well as investment- and consumer goods companies.
Dr. Stöttinger was head of the marketing group at the State College in Wiener Neustadt, where she was responsible for the development of the marketing curriculum, the selection and evaluation of lecturers.
In 1997, Barbara Stöttinger rejoined the WU Wien as associate professor at the International Marketing department.
Dr. Stöttinger has also taught at numerous universities and in several different programs including the University of Tampa, SOHOK Danubia, Exportlehrgang Salzburg, Texas A&M University, University of Ljubljana, ESC Bordeaux, and Ashton Business School, UK and has taught International Marketing in the IMBA program from 2000-2002 and in 2004. She received the Outstanding Teaching Award twice for her teaching in the IMBA program.
